The tale of the Lich King is a tragic one. There’s an entire World of Warcraft expansion dedicated to this terrifying character, and arguably, I would say that it’s still one of the best expansions that Blizzard have ever released for the game. If you’ve not played Warcraft at all, then you might not be familiar with the harrowing stories and legends of Arthas Menethil or the Scourge. The beastly abomination is then added to Deathstalker Rexxar’s hand to later be unleashed on a hapless foe. The new creation combines all the stats of both creatures he’s sewn together: mana cost, attack, health, and card text. Build-a-Beast allows Deathstalker Rexxar to stitch together a horrifying new Zombeast by “discovering” pieces of two former animal friends. For example, here is the Death Knight Hero card for the Hunter, Rexxar. When played, “Deathstalker” Rexxar fires a flurry of arrows-dealing 2 damage to all enemy minions-and replaces your hero, granting five armor and changing your Hero Power to Build-a-Beast. While each Death Knight hero is different, they all offer possibilities that can transform the way you play Hearthstone. When played, each Death Knight Hero card replaces your hero, casts a Battlecry, dons some hefty armor, and provides a new Hero Power. Hero cards are an entirely new card type that are neither spell, minion, nor weapon. When played, these Legendary new Hero cards transform your normal heroes into terrifying Death Knights and grant them special undead abilities. Your heroes have fallen under the Lich King’s sway, losing their souls but gaining formidable powers. Another exciting addition to the card repertoire are the Death Knight cards.
Now every class has access to life-stealing minions and any damage done by these minions is restored directly to your hero’s health. Something exciting for players will be the new Lifesteal keyword.
Boasting 135 new cards, the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion also comes with brand new bosses, card packs, abilities and game modes to flesh it out.
